Escape to the Country buyer 'lost for words' as dream home hit with major problem
Escape to the Country buyer was lost for words just minutes into stepping inside her ideal home. However, there was one major problem she couldn’t ignore.
During Thursday’s (December 5) episode on BBC hit show, Denise Nurse returned to our screens and was tasked with helping Julia find her new home in the country.
Julia currently lives in Brighton & Hove on the south coast, but wants to make a big move to Norfolk so she can be closer to her family and spend more time with her grandson Harvey, who is eight.
Julia had a budget of £625,000 for a character property with a minimum of three to four bedrooms and a manageable garden. She enjoys a very active lifestyle so it was important that she lived somewhere with a strong community where she can access amenities and take part in local groups.

Denise set up a number of properties to view but it was the mystery house, located in the countryside surrounding Hingham, that Julia fell in love with.
The house had three bedrooms, a large open plan living space and a separate snug and it was on the market for offers in excess of £600,000.
Walking into the property, Julia was instantly impressed as she said: “I’m quite taken back actually and that’s why the words are not quite coming out just because it has been so beautifully done and I’m enthusiastic.”
After taking a tour of the house, it was clear that Julia was blown away as she went on to say: “The house has definitely delivered and I don’t think there’s any doubt about that. I love the wood features, the kitchen has been done up superbly."
However things soon took a turn when she viewed the garden because she pointed out that the size was a lot bigger than she was hoping for.
Speaking to the camera, she admitted: “I do have some renovations about the garden. It’s about twice the size of the plot that I probably would like but having said that the house is spot on.”
Despite falling in love with the property, the garden proved to be a big issue for Julia. At the end of the week she decided not to put an offer in. Speaking to Denise she revealed: “The third house, the Mystery House, has epitomised the kind of property that I would want and it’s got a really good feel for it.”
She admitted: “But the garden was a problem for me, plus because I haven’t sold my house yet - if I was going to take on a project like reconfiguring a garden, I need to know what money I’ve got and if I can afford it so that’s where I am with it all.”
Escape to the Country airs weekdays from 3pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
