Erm...why is Emma not at the Married at First Sight UK reunion?
Ready for an injection of chaos in your life? Well get ready as the Married at First Sight UK reunion is finally dropping on our screens tonight, but one cast member who we won't be seeing again? Our season nine icon Emma Barnes.
Tonight's episode will see many members of the casts of seasons eight and nine reunite for the ultimate dinner party. Exes will have awkward meet-ups, old feuds will be reignited and we're sure some major tea is going to be spilt, but unfortunately Emma Barnes won't be there to see the drama unfold or support her bestie Kristina Goodsell, as she reveals she was "uninvited" from the special episode.
Speaking to Yahoo! ahead of the episode's release this evening, Emma said: "They didn't need me anymore. I still don't know why I was cut. There were some storylines that they wanted to follow, the producers, and yeah, someone must have taken my seat, right, so someone got called up to get back on there. But yeah, not me!"
Emma also revealed her friends were very upset to hear she wouldn't be present for the episode, saying: "There was certainly an uproar from a lot of my friends that I wasn't gonna be there — I don't know whether that's just my friends though! I know I'm a big personality and I definitely could have brought some laughs to the table... It's a shame."
During her time on the series Emma was married to Caspar Todd, who was also not invited back to the reunion. The couple's marriage was off to a rocky start from their wedding day. While Emma was thrilled with her new husband, Caspar was less certain and felt Emma was similar to his sister and also confessed he wasn't physically attracted to her.
They never really got their marriage off the ground and struggled through the series and eventually they both chose to leave the experiment towards the end of filming.
While we won't be seeing Emma return for the dinner party, we will still be seeing many of her season nine cast mates including Adam Nightingale, Amy Kenyon, Hannah Norburn, Holly Ditchfield, Kieran Chapman, Kristina Goodsell, Lacey Martin, Nathan Campbell, Orson Nurse, Sionnain Carmichael and Sacha Jones.
They'll also be joined by cast members from season eight including Ella Morgan, Erica Roberts, Matt Pilmoor, Shona Maderson, Paul Liba and Tasha Jay.
With a guest list like this we'll sure there will be plenty of drama unfolding, we're just sad Emma won't be there with her crisps and wine.
