Erm, Iceland Is Selling A Vimto Cheesecake And It’s Confusing The Hell Out Of Us

·1-min read

If there’s one thing Iceland knows how to do well, it’s frozen desserts. Oh, and prawn rings, but we’re not here to talk about those today…

Iceland’s frozen desserts are legendary. For starters, these Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Brownies are incredible (especially the caramel one, but that’s just our personal opinion). Plus, we definitely need to take a minute to talk about Iceland’s Luxury Triple Layer Praline Ice Cream, which tastes just like a Kinder Bueno that’s been melted down and frozen to form the tastiest ice cream you’ve ever tasted.

But, we have to admit, the supermarket’s latest frozen dessert has us scratching our heads a little.

Iceland has just announced that it is launching a Vimto Cheesecake, and we’re really struggling to get behind it, tbh.

We’re not totally sure why, mind you, because if you think about it, Vimto is a drink flavoured with grape, raspberry, blackberry, plus a blend of secret herbs and spices. So, really, a Vimto flavoured cheesecake would simply be along the lines of a forest fruits cheesecake – aka fruit coulis slathered on top of a decedent cream cheese filling and biscuit base.

And yet we still can’t quite get our heads around it.

But what do you think – will you be giving Iceland’s Vimto Cheesecake a go?
