A Pittsburgh Penguins fan was booed from PPG Paints Arena during a game against the Tampa Bay LIghtning on Sunday, January 12, after he swiped a puck from a child, according to a local news report.In an interview with KDKA-TV, Kevin Acklin, Pittsburgh Penguins President of Business Operations, said a puck went up into the netting around the rink and a young boy shook the glass to release it. As it fell to the ground an “older gentleman reached down and grabbed the puck,” Acklin said.Acklin added that the older man gave the puck to his granddaughter, but fans continued to boo him.In this footage captured by Robert Standardi, a woman can be seen giving the young boy a puck in lieu of the one the man took. Acklin said the woman was a girlfriend or wife of one of the Penguins players.The boy appears elated, and both he and his mother give the woman a hug. Soon the older man appears and can be seen saying something to the mother of the boy. The two appear to argue before the mom cocks back her fist and several fans get in between the two.The booing escalated and the man was eventually ejected from the game, KDKA-TV reported.The Lightning defeated the Penguins 5-2.
