Engaged Paris Hilton wants three weddings

Paris Hilton’s wedding — er, weddings — will be one (ones?) for the books.

The heiress-DJ-perfumer, who accepted a proposal from actor boyfriend Chris Zylka over a New Year’s weekend getaway to Aspen, Colo., spoke about her impending nuptials at Sunday’s Golden Globes.

“For my 21st birthday I had five parties, so maybe for the wedding I’ll have a European one, an American one, one for everyone around the world,” Hilton told Extra.

It sounds excessive (and it is), but in 2002 Hilton actually did have birthday bashes in five cities: New York, L.A., Las Vegas, London, and Tokyo. And they were excessive! Hilton’s family reportedly spent $75,000 for each guest who attended, including Sean “Diddy” Combs, Kris Jenner (long before Keeping Up With the Kardashians), and Donald Trump.

Just in case anyone forgot about the big to-do, burying the memory of it alongside stories of Hilton running around the club scene with an unknown Kim Kardashian as her assistant, she kindly reminded the world of it last year on her birthday in 2017. She shared an Instagram post of her younger self blowing out the candles on one of her 21 cakes. (She might have become lightheaded blowing out candles on all of them.)

Hilton and Zylka, who dated for more than a year before their engagement, have already set the bar high for their nuptials. He proposed with a 20-carat engagement ring valued at $2 million. They’ll be making plans together “soon,” Hilton said at a dinner with their parents.

Apparently, the highly anticipated royal wedding of Britain’s Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has got nothing on theirs.
