In case you didn't know already, right now the Cannes Film Festival is in full swing, bringing together Hollywood's glitziest actors for a celebration of arthouse and indie film. The talk of the town right now? Anne Hathaway's fashion tour de force on the red carpet and Baz Luhrmann's epic Elvis biopic starring none other than Austin Butler and Tom Hanks (we'll probably be hearing a lot about this one later in the year).

And while the glamour of the red carpet and movie premieres are what have been catching most people's attention, we honestly can't get over EmRata's latest daytime look, when she was spotted on the streets of Cannes. With her tousled hair, plain white plimsoles and noughties sunglasses she was giving major model off-duty vibes and striking a much more low-key note than the pleated naked dress she wore to run errands in NYC last week.

In a stretchy midi dress with a zany, multicoloured patchwork print featuring butterflies, handbags and zodiac symbols she was giving us a major déjà vu moment: this is the kind of care-free fit that our fave art teacher might have worn during our school years. The late 90s/ early 'aughts vibe of the dress and its kooky print also feels like something Disney Channel queen Lizzie McGuire might have worn back in the day (and had us trying to copy in the nearest Tammy Girl). This is throwback fashion done right.

Earlier in the week, however, EmRata was rocking the super sexy chic she's best known for, stepping out on the Cannes red carpet for a screening of Crimes of the Future in a strappy, sheer lace Miu Miu gown and bombshell waves. Very Hollywood movie starlet vibes...

Whether she's strutting it on the red carpet or mooching about town, EmRata always knows how to pull a look. You know what they say, get a girl that can do both!
