Emmerdale legend Fiona Wade bags new role alongside Corrie fave and Strictly Come Dancing icon

An Emmerdale legend has bagged an exciting role alongside a former Coronation Street fave and a Strictly Come Dancing icon.

Fiona Wade, 45, who played Priya Sharma in Emmerdale, appeared in the ITV soap for 12 years. She will be appearing in an upcoming stage play which heads out on tour next month.

Superintendent Roy Grace is back in a brand-new Peter James stage adaptation and world premiere of the bestselling Picture You Dead. Alongside Fiona in the cast is Corrie’s Peter Ash and Ore Oduba - who wowed in the 2016 series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The narrative for the plays teases: “Back home in Brighton, DSI Grace investigates a cold case that leads him to the secretive world of fine art, but beneath the respectable veneer lurks a dark underworld of deception and murder. When one unsuspecting couple unearths a potentially priceless masterpiece, they discover that their dream find is about to turn into their worst nightmare, and only Grace can stop them from paying the ultimate price.”
