New torment for Lydia
With the Dingles named after biblical figures, it’s no surprise that Samson is contemplating some Old Testament-style payback for those who have it in for Lydia.
His concern for her is understandable as, in light of reports about the pension scam, Lydia is being harassed. First, someone chucks a brick through her window, then she’s mugged on her doorstep by a group of lads who Samson recognises.

He wants to exact some “eye for an eye” revenge, but Lydia is insisting that there be no more trouble. However, when Sam takes Lydia off to the police station to make a report, we’ll see Samson stashing a crowbar in his school bag…
Kim gets trigger happy
Kim’s drugged brandy is leaving her feeling increasingly paranoid and she’ll be seen lashing out at all those who she sees as opposing her. On her hit list are the likes of Gabby, Al, Jai, Will, Dawn and Jamie – actually, come to think of it, it might be easier at this stage listing those with whom she doesn’t have a grievance.
As her emotional instability intensifies, Kim will then start hearing phantom intruders at Home Farm and she ends up reaching for a shotgun, as so many previous owners of the village’s most prestigious property have done before her. But as Kim takes aim and pulls the trigger, just who is in her line of fire?
Bernice is back
There’s no such thing as a happy ever after in soapland, and any character expecting life to be a fairy tale is a naïve fool. And for an educated man, Liam can be rather unworldly and wide eyed about life. What he certainly isn’t expecting, though, is for there to be a curveball when it comes to his engagement to Leyla – yet one is heading his way thanks to the reappearance of Bernice.
Her return coincides with Liam being a little tipsy so, at the time, he thinks he might be seeing things. But Bernice is very much real and she might well have something to say about her ex’s plans to get married ASAP now that Leyla’s dream venue has become available.
Liv tracks down her mum
Liv has headed off to find her mum Sandra at a caravan park but don’t expect a heart-warming mother-daughter reunion. Instead, the pair have a booze-fuelled trip down memory lane that results in Liv falling to the ground and hitting her head.
The next day, Liv watches a video message from Aaron, who’s urging her to return home as he's worried about her mum’s negative influence. But will Liv continue to be tempted by a vodka-saturated Sandra or will she realise that the wisest move would be to head back to Mill Cottage?
