Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Bernice Blackstock has officially left Emmerdale once again. Cast member Samantha Giles's final scenes aired Tuesday night (November 14), as Bernice faced an ultimatum from sister Nicola King to avoid going to jail.
Bernice had previously feared her sibling would make a criminal complaint after she admitted she'd secured a fraudulent loan in Nicola's name.
Nicola had indeed initially threatened to go to the police over the fraud, though she backed down in the latest instalment with an ultimatum instead.
Bernice was shocked when Nicola demanded her sister sign over her half of the ownership of the B&B, which would give Bob Hope a brand new business partner.
With little choice but to comply, Bernice decided to take the deal. However, Bernice revealed she was still leaving the village as a result of breaking her family's trust once again.
Bernice was surprised when Bob admitted he would miss having her around, assuring her "life's too short" to hold onto grudges.
"It's been one hell of a ride," Bob told her.
Nicola watched her sister loading up the taxi from her window, though she resisted Jimmy's encouragement to go say goodbye to Bernice. Gabby questioned why her mum had to leave if she'd made amends, yet Bernice insisted it was "better" for her to go.
"I'm so jealous of you, mum," Gabby told her. "You get to start fresh."
Bernice gave her daughter one final pep talk, insisting Gabby was "ten times the woman" she was. The family noticed Nicola watching from across the road, though Bernice simply asked them to "take care" of her sister instead of personally saying goodbye.
"Onwards and upwards," Bernice declared as she made her exit.
Samantha Giles recently revealed that she plans to work on a "variety" projects now that she's left Emmerdale, including adapting one of her own books into a TV series.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
