Emma Willis: 'I'd love to take part in Strictly Come Dancing'

Emma Willis is ready for the call from Strictly Come Dancing – if The Voice doesn't return.

The TV presenter was previously unavailable for the BBC show because of her commitments to ITV’s singing talent show, and Channel 4’s The Circle.

However, the latter has not been recommissioned after three seasons, leaving Emma with a gap in her schedule.

She told The Sun that she hopes The Voice will return – “otherwise I will be doing Strictly”.

The team behind the BBC dance show had previously reached out to Emma about appearing, but work commitments meant it wasn't possible.

Emma revealed: “If I had time, I would do it in a heartbeat. Like I absolutely love it.”

The presenter is one of the co-hosts of ITV’s latest show Cooking with the Stars, which features among its celebrities Strictly head judge Shirley Ballas.

However, there was no suggestion she tried to tempt Emma to compete in the BBC hit show, with the 45-year-old claiming: “She does not need to convince me to go on Strictly.”

Comic Tom Allen is Emma’s co-presenter on Cooking with the Stars, which begins next week.

Other famous names taking part include McFly drummer Harry Judd, comic Johnny Vegas and performer Denise van Outen.

While the new line-up of celebrity contestants for Strictly is yet to be confirmed, the full list of dancers was unveiled last September for the 2020 season, which was won by comedian Bill Bailey and pro dancer Oti Mabuse.

Emma marked her 13th wedding anniversary with Busted’s Matt Willis on Monday by posting an intimate bed selfie of the couple on Instagram.

Willis himself has reality show experience after being crowned King of the Jungle in the 2006 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
