Emma Willis broke down in tears when she opened up about her 16-year long marriage to Busted star Matt Willis. The TV personality, who hosts Love Is Blind UK alongside her husband, got emotional as she spoke about their relationship and three children, Isabelle, 15, Ace, 12, and Trixie, eight.

Speaking on Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo ’s podcast NewlyWeds, 48 year old Emma discussed the realities of parenting. As host Jamie admitted to feeling nervous about beginning a family, the Big Brother presenter was quick to reassure the Made In Chelsea star about what it was like taking the leap and admitted that he reminded her of Matt.

“You remind me of Matt a little bit. I don't really know you, but you seem a bit of an excitable puppy…,” she said. “That's what Matt's like and the minute we had kids it's like his best mate had arrived.”

She continued: “He is my partner and my equal and sometimes he's like my fourth kid. And I mean that in the best possible way, because he's like that when he's with his kids.”

Emma then became emotional when she spoke about Matt’s parenting skills. “So he just gets down on their level and he's f***ing phenomenal with them,” she explained, before revealing that becoming a parent can make you “the best version of yourself”.

After meeting more than two decades ago, Matt and Emma tied the knot in 2008 in what was a star-studded ceremony, with celebs including Jason Donovan, Holly Willoughby and Kara Tointon in attendance.

For the occasion, Emma wore a stunning bridal gown which was an ivory Phillipa Lepley number and featured a full-length tulle skirt. Speaking exclusively to OK! at the time, she said: "It looked so simple and elegant – and I loved it. It was gorgeous but on the original design there was a flower on the back, which I had removed and replaced with simple buttons.

"There was a train on it too, but I got rid of that as well. And the straps over the shoulders were a lot thicker on the original design. So although it wasn’t specifically designed for me, I made it my own."

Meanwhile, in 2018 the duo renewed their vows at the same place they got married, Rushton Hall in Northamptonshire, to celebrate 10 years of marriage. “We went back to the place we got married,” Matt said on his BBC One documentary Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction. “It was just an incredible time. I really absorbed every second of it.”
