Emma Watson debuts a new hair colour and textured lob cut – and it's so early 00s
While we've had to wait five whole years for Emma Watson to reemerge at an Oscars red carpet event, her latest appearance – which came to us via Elton John's Academy Awards charity viewing party – was made all the more special with a brand new hair debut.
As expected, the former Harry Potter actor stepped out looking as chic as ever, wearing an off-the-shoulder, semi-sheer black gown, accessorised with a crystal-embellished clutch bag and a matching diamond tennis necklace.
As stunning as her ensemble was, the star of the show had to be her glamorous beauty look – after all, it featured a spring colour refresh which was styled into a textured lob.
While hairstylist Anh Co Tran took to the deep side-parted pinned 'do (inspired by the early 2000s), celebrity colourist Daniel Moon took on the task of reviving the tone of Emma's brunette locks.
In a three-part Instagram carousel post – which you can see below – Daniel shared a close-up snap of the rich-rooted hue that also incorporates subtle caramel highlights.
And as for the loosely-styled waves created by Anh, they maximise not only the texture but the colour pay-off, catching the best of light and shade in Emma's strands.
Now, this wouldn't be giving the transformation the complete justice it deserves without acknowledging the length. As we can see, since last summer, Emma has grown out her 60s-inspired pixie cut for a just-below-the-shoulder choppy bob style - one of the biggest hair trends for 2023.
