Emma Stone References ‘Poor Things’ in Custom Louis Vuitton Dress for Critics Choice Awards 2024 Red Carpet
Emma Stone arrived in a custom black Louis Vuitton dress on the red carpet at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards on Sunday in Santa Monica, Calif.
Stone’s floor-length number featured a one-shoulder bodice with scalloped embellishments along the top. She also donned a velvet sash at her waist with the initials “BB” decorating the ends, in reference to her “Poor Things” character, Bella Baxter. She complemented her ensemble with glittering, silver jewelry, including a diamond necklace, cuff earrings and a ring. Petra Flannery designed Stone’s look.

Stone won the Best Movie Actress of the Year Award. Speaking to the crowd, she described her role as “one of the greatest joys of my life.”
She continued, “I got to unlearn a lot of things in playing her. Unlearn parts of shame and societal stuff that gets put on us, and I’m still working on it.”
The actress is familiar with wearing Louis Vuitton, as she is currently an ambassador for the French luxury fashion house. The brand featured Stone in its fall 2023 campaign, which also included rock band Haim. Stone recently showed out at the 2024 Golden Globes in a custom sheer Louis Vuitton gown that featured pale, floral embroidery.
The Critics Choice Awards recognize the greatest film and television achievements of the year. Hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler, the 29th annual ceremony airs live on The CW on Sunday, Jan. 14. Margot Robbie will honor her “Barbie” co-star, America Ferrera, with the SeeHer Award, while James Mangold will present Harrison Ford with the Career Achievement Award.
