Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund are reportedly going their separate ways
Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund have reportedly split up, after three years of dating and welcoming a son, Rhodes, in December 2020.
According to People, multiple sources have confirmed that Emma and Garrett split up a few weeks ago, following a rocky few months in their relationship. One source said, "It's sad, and they are trying their best to co-parent. It's been hard."
Emma and Garrett have yet to speak publicly about the reports. People noted that their reps did not immediately respond to their request for comment.
The pair celebrated their son's first birthday in December 2021, with the cutest rodeo-themed birthday party. Emma took to Instagram to share some sweet photos from the celebration, captioning the post, "Happy Birthday Rodeo! Frosting in my hair and @thebeatbuds stuck in my head. Loved every second of it ❤️ I love you Rhodes ❤️."

Emma and Garrett first started dating back in March 2019, and have kept their relationship fairly private ever since. In December 2020, they welcomed a son – Rhodes Robert Hedlund – with Emma sharing the news on Instagram, writing, "Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right ☀️ Our bright light Rhodes Robert Hedlund 🧡."
A source previously told People that Garrett "totally stepped it up," after welcoming a baby in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Having a newborn in the pandemic has been a lot harder than either of them expected, but they're really, really trying their best to figure things out," the source said.
"Garrett totally stepped it up after Emma was still recovering after giving birth. He made sure that their house was stocked with things that Emma liked and needed so she felt comfortable. She's just starting to get back into a more 'normal' routine."
