Emma Corrin has masterfully navigated what are thought to be some of the most notoriously difficult hairstyles to pull off in a relatively short space of time.

She first caught our eye playing Lady Diana in Netflix's The Crown, where she sported the late princess' iconic feathered shag, and has since appeared on a multitude of magazine covers and made her West End debut as Anna X with a soft blonde crop.

On top of her chameleon-like ability to adapt into different characters, Corrin has proven she isn't afraid to experiment when it comes to her hair choices. Case in point, her most recent change, which has seen the 25-year-old actress swap out her bright blonde ends for an icy platinum shade.

Posting on her Instagram stories, Corrin shared snippets of the process with her followers. Hair stylist Daniel Martin turned out to be the mastermind behind this icy transformation, and is clearly a trusted hair confidante to Corrin at this point having worked with her on a number of shoots.

The Crown star also trusted Martin with some of her most dynamic hairstyle changes outside of editorial work, including her super-angular crop earlier this year.

Corrin is the latest in a line of celebrities turning to blonder pastures, with Kristen Stewart revealing her new strawberry blonde cut at the Venice film festival and J-Lo amping up her honey blonde highlights earlier this month.

We're likely to see a few more hair transformations from Corrin in 2022, as the rising star has a number of new productions in the works, including the upcoming film My Policeman alongside Harry Styles.

In a role that will stand apart from Corrin's demure Lady Diana portrayal which catapulted her to critical acclaim, the actress shared news on Instagram in March that she would also be playing the title role in a film adaptation of D.H. Lawrence's Lady Chatterly's Lover. While a release date is yet to be shared, we can already hear the award nominations in the not-so-distant future.
