We’ve just about made peace with the fact that not only is the eighth season of Game Of Thrones going to be the last one ever, but it also won’t be with us until 2019. Eurgh.

Despite it not winging its way to our TV screens for a while yet, Emilia Clarke has revealed that she’s filmed her final scene. The actress, who plays Daenerys on the HBO show, has said that the whole experience messed her up. Well, she actually used a much ruder word…

"It f**ked me up," Emilia told Vanity Fair. “Knowing that is going to be a lasting flavour in someone's mouth of what Daenerys is.

“I'm doing all this weird shit,” Emilia added of her character in the final season. “You'll know what I mean when you see it.”

Now we really want to see it.

So what can we expect from the final season? Well, a lot of death apparently.

Francesca Orsi, senior vice president of drama at HBO, revealed at an INTV conference back in March that characters that survived until the last season will now die “one by one”.

Recounting the cast's read-through of the final series, she said (via Variety), “It was a really powerful moment in our lives and our career. None of the cast had received the scripts prior, and one by one they started to fall down to their deaths.

“By the end, the last few words on the final script, the tears just started falling down. Then there was applause that lasted 15 minutes.”

Seriously – what the hell are we going to do with our time once Game Of Thrones is over? Think of all the unnecessary sunlight we’ll see if we have to start leaving the house. Gross.
