Elton John to attend royal wedding
The royal wedding may have received its first celebrity RSVP, as Sir Elton John recently rescheduled two tour performances which just so happen to fall on the weekend of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's nuptials.
A statement on the singer's website simply states that a "scheduling conflict" has clashed with his May 18 and 19 world tour dates.
The 70-year-old was a close friend of Prince Harry's mother, Princess Diana and attended the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's 2011 nuptials.
But when asked if he would be attending Prince Harry's wedding, he replied: "I don’t know. I haven’t even been - no one’s been asked. I’m playing in Vegas so I don’t know what’s going to happen. It will be nice because I love him dearly."
In a recent interview, the singer opened up about Prince Harry's engagement: "I could tell that he was totally in love. He didn't really discuss much personally but he said 'I'm in love' and I thought 'good for you'. Both of those boys seem to be ecstatically happy and that's all you want people to be."
The couple will wed on May 19 at St George's Chapel in Windsor.
