Ellie Goulding has given her followers an insight into what pregnancy life was like for her in lockdown, as well as giving us a glimpse of her newborn son, Arthur Ever Winter Jopling.

Goulding, who welcomed her first child with husband Caspar Jopling on 29 April, shared a video documenting her lockdown pregnancy.

“Dropped a BIG unexpected side project this year, think it might be the greatest yet - shoutout to Mother Nature for the collab of all collars. Music by @tshamusic,” she captioned the post.

The couple shared some intimate footage of Goulding rubbing her baby bump and showing the ultrasound scan of their son. Goulding tied the knot with art dealer Jopling in 2019 at York Minister, wearing a beautiful bespoke Chloé gown.

Goulding is known for her love of exercise, so it comes as no surprise that she also documented her pregnancy exercise workout routine in the gym, as well as her love of swimming.

At the time of the singer's last public appearance at an event at the Victoria & Albert Museum in August 2020, she said she had no idea she was pregnant - but that she found out shortly after.

“That was [around] the time when Caspar and I went away briefly when we were allowed for our one-year wedding anniversary, and that’s basically when we found out,” she told Vogue.

“It was crazy because it was our one-year anniversary. That was not the plan. The thought of getting pregnant didn’t seem like it could be a reality. Becoming pregnant kind of made me feel human. I want a better word than womanly, [but] — I have curves I’ve never had before. I’m enjoying it. My husband’s enjoying it.”
