Kipchoge's new world record, set yesterday in Berlin, taking 30 seconds off his previous world record.

The average pace per km.

4:49

Kipchoge's winning margin over the second place finisher, fellow Kenyan Mark Korir. Third place went to Tadu Abate of Ethiopia. Spare a thought for Ethiopian Andamlak Belihu's punishing second half. He stayed with Kipchoge until half way, but finished fourth in 2:06:40.

That winning margin means that when Kipchoge crossed the line, Mark Korir still had more than a mile to go.

The time it took Kipchoge to cover the first 10km of the marathon.

The position his pace would have put in him in in the Olympic 10,000m track final, ahead of six other athletes.

59:51

Half way split. Only 36 athletes have run faster than that in a half marathon standalone race this year. That is only 19 seconds slower than Mo Farah’s half marathon PB (59:32).

Kipchoge's 5km splits were: 14:14/14:09/14:10/14:12/14:23/14:32/14:30/14:43

For context, Mo Farah’s marathon PB is 2:05:11.
