Scottish gin maker Eden Mill St Andrews has just revealed a brand new festive gin for Christmas 2021 and it sounds delicious!

Inspired by St Nicholas, aka, Father Christmas, the gin is flavoured with tangerine and cranberry to celebrate the act of generosity and gift-giving.

The origin of the Santa we know and love today, the story of St. Nicholas throwing gold coins down the chimneys of those in need inspired traditions across the globe. The gifting of tangerines or oranges in Christmas stockings is symbolic of the bags of golden coins he distributed. There's even a sweet illustration depicting the tale on the crest featured on the bottle.

Eden Mill co-founder Tony Kelly said in the press release; "At Eden Mill we are passionate about celebrating the best of old and new, and it’s a gift for us to be bringing this gin to the market, celebrating such a special story for this time of year and the tradition of present giving. Not just a gin to be enjoyed at Christmas, Golden Lore will be a favourite for citrus gin fans all year round."

The deep orange colour gin has a very citrus and berry-sweet profile; zesty orange notes dominate first, with the tart cranberry balancing the flavour. Enjoy with premium tonic or blood orange soda and an orange peel twist. It's also perfect in a festive Negroni!
