Aldi Moser Roth Giant Ostrich Egg - 2/5

The Moser Roth egg garnered a lot of attention because of its sheer size (larger than a human head) and its luxury appearance. Sadly, it fell down in the taste test, scoring among the lowest. One person described it as having "a bitter, soapy after-taste". However, others called it "strangely addictive", despite not actually enjoying the taste. Easter eggs under £20: Which one scores the highest?

It’s that time of year again. Cracking open your choice of hollow, chocolate-y Easter eggs is an annual delight, whether you're breaking Lent or just using it as a welcome excuse to indulge in our favourite sweet treats.

With that in mind, we've rounded up the very best chocolate eggs under £20 – as taste tested by the Yahoo UK team (because someone had to do it).

Highlights among staffers included the nostalgia-factor of a giant Kinder egg, while a popcorn-studded variety from Divine proved a surprise favourite.

Among these, there were disappointments. The Reese’s Egg, pegged to be a firm favourite among the team, fell down for its lack of actual peanuts, while the impressive-looking giant Moser Roth egg from Aldi was accused of putting style over substance.
