There's surprise pregnancy news for Whitney as she celebrates her 30th birthday on EastEnders next week, while there’s trauma for Amy after she self-harms again.

Amy is rushed to hospital
Nugget gets the wrong end of the stick as regards Jack’s career and ends up telling Amy that her dad has lost his job. It’s trauma that leaves Amy feeling more distressed than ever and she once again self-harms.

Jack subsequently receives a phone call to say that Amy has missed her therapy session. And as he and Denise rush over to check on her whereabouts, they’re met with the sight of Amy being loaded into an ambulance.
At the hospital, a guilt-ridden Jack will then be seen sitting by Amy’s bedside, as a nurse tells them that the troubled teen must see a psychiatrist before she can be discharged. Already overcome with emotion, Jack must then head off and leave Denise with Amy while he discovers his fate as regards the police.
Luckily for him, Jack does get reinstated at work. But the ordeal with Amy has left him shaken and he decides to delay his return so he can be with his daughter. Denise can’t help but be concerned that Jack is starting to smother Amy.
Whitney is pregnant with Zack’s baby
It’s the week of Whitney’s 30th birthday, but the one present she wants to buy herself is a pregnancy test.
Bumping into Stacey at the pharmacy, Whitney realises that the two of them are after the same thing, but with only one box left on the shelf, the two of them decide to buy it and take the tests together. The result for Whitney? She’s pregnant with Zack’s baby.

Stacey is then left amused when Jean finds a test in the bin and assumes it to hers. But after being put in the picture about it being Whit’s, Jean will be seen bumping into Zack into Walford East where she starts discussing the baby – not knowing, of course, that he’s currently clueless about the situation.
Fuelled by fear and memories of childhood trauma, Zack’s world shatters. So how will he react when Whitney heads over to talk to him properly?
Sonia left grief-stricken by Dot’s death
Sonia is left overwhelmed when Reverend Mills calls to say that Dot’s funeral can take place the following Monday. With the help of Martin, Sharon, Patrick, Jay and Kathy, she then sets about organising the send-off that Dot deserves.
But privately Sonia is struggling, and she’ll receive a knockback later in the week when Jay breaks the news to her that he can’t officiate at the service for Dot because he has to accompany Lola to her radiotherapy session.
Dotty then finds a tape recorder that she passes on to Sonia, so she can listen to Dot’s voice again before she makes her way to No 25 to keep vigil over her body. After discovering that Sonia is over there, Whitney, Dotty and Jack all follow on, so they can be together both to support Sonia and remember Dot.
Janine’s paranoia over Mick is mounting
Janine’s worries about Mick are growing – first when he’s late for lunch and then, later, after Shirley informs her that Linda has called in sick. Is Janine right to suspect Mick of being with his ex-wife?
Later on, Karen accidentally lets slip to Janine that Mick and Linda went shopping for Ollie’s school shoes. And when Mick later tells her that he and Linda are going to buy their son’s Christmas presents together, Janine is left fuming. But viewers can expect her to cheer up when, finally, she’s on the receiving end of some good news…
Panto troubles for Alfie
Alfie and Freddie need to raise funds for the panto and end up securing sponsorship from Sharon. In return, they promise to promote Crunch Time in all their marketing.
Thursday’s drama then finds Alfie roping in Rocky, Mitch and Harvey to be a part of the production, but his efforts to entice Kat to join the cast fall flat. And Alfie gets a further disappointment when Kat then bans him from including their sons in the show.
