The actress, who plays Ruby Allen on the BBC soap, confirmed her pregnancy on Mother's Day (March 14) by sharing a video of herself opening a letter which reads: "Just a little note to say... There's a baby on the way!"
The clip also features Louisa and her fiancé, Ben Bhanvra, hugging and pointing to her baby bump, Ben reading a book about parenting and a display of Mother's Day cards and flowers.
Even the couple's pet dog Riley features, with the puppy wearing a sweet neckerchief adorned with the message: "My parents are getting me a human".
The actress also shared a message to her own mum alongside the video, writing: "If I am a fraction of the mother you are, I know I'll be the best. You have held my hand for 32 years, you have taught me right from wrong, corrected my spelling, and helped me see the light at the end of every single tunnel.
"And now you will guide me to becoming a mummy. (Just try not to move yourself in or Ben might leave)."
Louisa and Ben have already received a host of congratulatory messages from friends and fans, with Louisa's fellow EastEnders star Clair Norris (Bernadette Taylor) writing: "Congratulations!! This is adorable" and Honey Mitchell actress Emma Barton commenting: "Oh darling girl.. I'm crying!! This is sooo beautiful... Congratulations to you both."
Louisa revealed earlier this year that she has "been broody for a while", adding that she would "love to have a big family".
When she and Ben first got engaged in 2019, Louisa confirmed that the couple are keen to have children, saying that it is her "dream" to be a mum.
EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One.
