Whether you own a Dyson Airwrap or not, it's likely you've heard about the product as it's been a huge talking point since it launched in 2018.
In fact it was so popular that Dyson launched an updated version this year: the Dyson Airwrap Multi-Styler model, which has eliminated a pain point found in the original.
But first, why is the Dyson Airwrap such a phenomenon?
The Airwrap uses revolutionary aerodynamic technology (which the brand have called 'the Coanda effect') to curl and dry your hair at the same time.
It uses air to attract and wrap hair to the barrel, which not only allows the two functions to happen at once, but also means no extreme heat is used, protecting your hair from damage that occurs when using traditional curling tools.

New Dyson Airwrap 2022 features
The main feature of the new Dyson Airwrap is the introduction of bi-direction barrels.
Previously, Airwrap users had to change the barrel mid-styling to achieve a full bouncy finish. This was because each barrel had a different airflow direction (to create clockwise and anti-clockwise curls), so one was for curling the right side of your head of hair and the other, the left.
In the recent update this has been blended into one attachment for ease, so you can now curl your hair in both directions without having to switch attachments, instead it's now just the click of a button.
The new Airwrap comes with six different styling attachments to help you get the finish you want - and the barrel isn't the only one to get an upgrade.
Dyson has also taken another look at its smoothing dryer attachment, which also now has dual modes - it can quickly blow dry your hair and smooth away flyaways at the same time.
There are a few brand new attachments too, which soon customers will be able to purchase separately. It includes a new wide-tooth comb, which has been specifically engineered with curly and coiled hair in mind.
It's designed with soft curved tips to glide through the hair, making sure there are no sharp edges that could catch or cause damage to curly hair, making the product more suitable for a range of different hair types and textures.
If you've been able to get your hands on the original Dyson Airwrap, which is almost always sold out, and are now getting FOMO, don't fret.
For the first time, existing Airwrap users can buy the new fixtures without buying an entirely new Airwrap for £149.99.

Everything you need to know about the original Dyson Airwrap
If you'd rather buy the original Dyson Airwrap, haircare lovers can get their hands on it for £449.99 - if you can find it in stock.
The previous version of the Airwrap has all the key features of the new one, its main selling point remaining that the three-in-one styler can dry, curl and smooth your hair in one go, without the use of extreme heat allowing you to get a salon-worthy blow out at-home.
The main difference is that the original styler comes with two of each curling barrel, which come in two sizes, 40mm and 30mm, so that you can achieve either voluminous curls or loose waves.
As explained above, each barrel has a different airflow (either clockwise or counter-clockwise), so you have to switch the barrel when creating curls for either the left or right side of your face.
The airflow settings on the Airwrap also comes with the same three speeds as the newer model. The heat control allows you to select from four different heat options, including one continuous cold shot that helps to set your hair.
What the Dyson Airwrap reviews say:
With almost 2,000 reviews on the Dyson website, 84% of customers say they'd recommend it to a friend, the Dyson Airwrap continues to prove it's a worthy investment.
"The best thing that ever happened to my hair. It looks like I have a blow dry every day now. Even after a couple of days my hair still look amazing; Less wavy, but never frizzy again."
"This product was made for me... it is light, it can be used with one arm only, is extremely simple to use and works on hair even as curly as mine with no need for hair products or extreme high heat which is damaging. I absolutely love it and would recommend it to all my friends and family."
"I was really on the fence wether this is a good investment, of course the gadget is impressive but the price is hefty. After constant use for a few weeks now – I will not be returning! It saves time, leaves you with perfect hair and a style that lasts. You will not get intense curls but a salon-grade blow out is guaranteed."
"I’ve worked in the hair industry for over 10 years, tried many different tools/brands. This is by far the best! It does take a little time to get used to using the curl barrels but once you get the hang of it it’s great. My hair feels a lot healthier as it doesn’t have excessive heat, just enough to dry my hair and fast."
