The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited a community project for children and adults with special needs in County Durham, as one of their first official visits since the loss of Prince Philip.

The Cambridge’s official Instagram account shared a fun video of the Duke and Duchess receiving a golf tutorial at The Cheesy Waffles Project.

Kate can be seen laughing with onlookers as Prince William tries to get his knees into the correct position to swing his golf club, as demonstrated by one of the members of the project.

The Instagram post explained that, “The Cheesy Waffles Project does incredible work providing children, young people and adults with additional needs aged 7 to 35 from across County Durham with the skills and independence they need to transition to a happy and healthy adulthood.”

Photographs of the Will and Kate laughing and chatting to members of the group were also shared, as they participated in crafting and other activities taking place outdoors.

The Duke and Duchess visited this project as it is supported by The Key, one of the 26 charities the couple chose to donate to with their Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund.

The Key is “a youth charity which works collaboratively with organisations across the North East of England to inspire belief in young people and empower them to achieve their full potential,” explained the caption to the charming video shared on official social media channels.
