The Duchess of Sussex is officially done with royal duties.

On Monday, Meghan fulfilled her final solo engagement: meeting with the Association of Commonwealth Universities—a patronage she took on from the Queen in 2019—for a private gathering at Buckingham Palace.

The duchess shared a look inside the event on the official Sussex Royal Instagram, posting a video of her meeting with students from the organisation. The ACU, according to its website, consists of over 500 colleges and universities from Commonwealth countries and is 'dedicated to building a better world through higher education'.

Meghan spoke with scholars studying and researching subjects like 'cleaning up plastic pollution in our oceans, helping to build more sustainable cities, improving health outcomes for citizens, and supporting decent work and economic growth,' according to the Sussexes' Instagram post.

For the meeting, Meghan donned a sleek, form-fitting pencil dress by Scanlan Theodore with a tie-neck detail, pointed-toe stiletto pumps, dangling earrings, and her hair in a neat, low ponytail.

Since returning to London ahead of her and Prince Harry's appearance at Commonwealth Day, Meghan has continued to visit patronages and organisations dear to her and Prince Harry.

Recently, the duchess visited a school in Dagenham to speak about the importance of International Women's Day, toured a new virtual reality exhibit at London's National Theatre, and held a private meeting alongside Prince Harry with young leaders at Buckingham Palace.

Meghan did return home to Canada shortly after her meeting with the ACU to reunite with her young son Archie. As of now, The Sussexes are set to begin their official transition into post royal life on 31st March.
