On Wednesday morning the Duchess of Cambridge helped to serve breakfast to school children at LEYF (London Early Years Foundation) Nurseries in Stockwell.

The mum-of-three spent the morning learning about the importance of nutritious food for a child’s development, as part of her ‘5 big questions on the under fives’ survey that launched last week on behalf of the Royal Foundation.

The 38-year-old dressed down for the early morning pre-school visit, wearing a pair of black skinny jeans with a £90 off-white jumper with lace detail by French brand Sézane.

She did, however, add a pop of colour with a statement single breasted blue coat from high street shop, Jigsaw.

The vibrant item of outerwear, which is made out of wool, is available to buy for £270.

The timeless silhouette also comes in two addition hues: camel and bright orange.

Kate accessorised the look with a recycled pair of earrings from Accessorize, which cost only £5 and have already sold out.

Meanwhile, her classic black ankle boots are thought to be by British brand, Russell and Bromley.

Kate seemed to have a wonderful time as she served breakfast to the pre-schoolers and was seen giving high-fives as she poured cereal for the nursery children.

The school visit was the Duchess of Cambridge’s third engagement this week, having attended the Holocaust Memorial Day service in London on Monday and Evelina Children's Hospital on Tuesday.
