Duchess of Cambridge brings back burgundy skirt suit for Wales visit
It’s hard to deny that burgundy is one of the Duchess of Cambridge’s best colours.
So it’s hardly surprising that she’s re-worn a skirt suit of that shade for a visit to a children’s charity in Wales this afternoon.
Having worn the deep burgundy Paule Ka skirt suit once before in 2012 for an engagement in Middle Temple to meet some law students, the Duchess gave the suit a 2017 twist this afternoon in Pontypool by teaming it with a black polo neck.
The most notable thing about it – then and now – is its flared skirt, giving the classic colour and outfit a more playful feel.
Created by Lille native Serge Cajfinger, she wore the piece with her hair in a partial up do along with black thigh boots and small, golden drop earrings.
While back in 2012, she paired it with black suede court shoes and a lower-cut patterned top just peeking from underneath the jacket.
During her visit she had a look at several successful projects by Action for Children, a charity of which she is now a patron.

According to the Kensington Palace Twitter page, her first visit was to MIST in Torfaen, a child and adolescent mental health service for those with complex needs, then to the Caerphilly Family Intervention Team (FIT) which works with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
