Calling all book worms or those whose New Year's Resolution is to read more... The Duchess of Cornwall has launched an exciting new book club called the Reading Room, which offers the latest in book recommendations and exclusive insight from the authors themselves in a community space for book lovers of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
Camilla and Charles' official Instagram account Clarence House shared details of the new reading platform alongside images of the royal in her role as patron for charities including Coram Beanstalk, National Literacy Trust, BookTrust, and FS Books.
"Just launched for book lovers @duchessofcornwallsreadingroom!" the post began. "In case you missed it, The Duchess of Cornwall’s Reading Room is a brand-new reading platform which will offer new seasons of book recommendations, as well as providing exclusive insight from the authors themselves, in a community space for book lovers of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
Launching the Reading Room on Instagram, with the post concluded: "Winter Season will be revealed on January 15th, so follow the account to stay up to date with new posts and recommended reads."
Artist and author Charlie Mackesy responded to the news by sending Camilla a special note featuring his beloved characters from The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse.
Camilla follows in the footsteps of fellow high profile figures in launching their own book clubs including Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Jessica Parker and Emma Watson.
