The Duchess of Cornwall interviews author Edna O'Brien

The Duchess of Cornwall has interviewed acclaimed author Edna O'Brien as part of her new 'reading room' series.

An accompanying image of the interview was shared on the Duchess of Cornwall's Reading Room Instagram account. It shows Camilla seemingly deep in thought while speaking with Edna O'Brien.

The accompanying caption for the photo reads: "A moment from when The Duchess met Edna O'Brien... and a hint of things to come over the next couple of weeks."

The image also gives Royal fans a glimpse into The Duchess' residence. A closer look reveals framed photographs of Charles and Camilla on the table in the room. The picture also allows an insight into Camilla's taste for interiors, with the Duchess opting for a palette of blues and greens.

The Duchess' interview with O'Brien comes as part of her new Reading Room series, which includes exclusive author interviews and book recommendations. As part of the interview with Camilla, Edna shares that she approaches telling stories "as truthfully and as responsibly as I can," in addition to discussing her novel, Girl, which focuses on the life of a teenager kidnapped by terrorist group Boko Haram.
