The Duchess of Cambridge was spotted wearing a new (and affordable) necklace in her latest video call.

Appearing in a virtual engagement with husband Prince William, Kate was seen looking typically chic in a cream top and tuxedo blazer, accessorised with a pair of earrings and the Astley Clarke Round Stilla Lapis Lazuli Pendant Necklace, £160.

Featuring a table-cut lapis lazuli gem set in 18 carat yellow gold plated sterling silver, the pendant looks beautiful with the royal's classic outfit.

Lapis lazuli is renowned for its intense and striking colour, and is said to be a protection stone which releases stress and brings deep inner peace and harmony.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge carried out their latest virtual engagement during which they spoke with a young nurse about the challenges she has faced in the wake of the ongoing pandemic.

First-year Adult Nursing student Abigail made a video diary chronicling a typical shift during her first placement as a student nurse for the duke and duchess to share on their official Instagram account.

Abigail documented the difficulties she has faced, including the emotional impact of patients being unable to receive visits from their families.

Royal fans praised the couple for their "wonderful" and "gracious support" for nurses working tirelessly and selflessly on the frontline of the pandemic.

The Cambridge family - including Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis - are currently residing at their country residence of Anmer Hall in Norfolk, on the Queen's Sandringham Estate.
