The Duchess of Cambridge is a big fan of re-wearing her favourite designer pieces – and today's royal engagement was no exception. Kate was spotted at Bletchley Park this afternoon in an Alessandra Rich dress that she first wore back in November for Prince Charles’ 70th birthday portraits.

Visiting the home of the Second World War codebreakers to view an exhibition celebrating the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings (which opens next month), Kate looked elegant but relaxed in her designer dress. The duchess teamed it with pearl earrings, mid-heeled suede court shoes and Smythson’s Panama purse.

This isn’t the first time an A-lister has stepped out in the navy polka-dot number by the London-based label. In fact, the midi has gained quite a following since its release back in spring/summer 2018. Sarah Jessica Parker, Ivanka Trump and Daisy Ridley have all been spotted in it, and the Duchess of Sussex's former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer even wore hers to the royal wedding last May.

This cult piece is now sold out, but you can find similar new-season styles available online – like this short-sleeved tea dress in the same polka dot print. For spring/summer 2019, the designer has swapped drop-waist pleats for an on-trend asymmetric hemline and switched up the colour of the contrast pointed collars.
