We all know that the Duchess of Cambridge loves a good outfit rewear. But, a true clothing repeater is skilled at transforming a previous look into something entirely different. That's what Kate did yesterday, by pairing pink trousers, which she previously wore as part of a trouser suit, with a white t-shirt and trainers.
The Duchess chose this playful autumn outfit to meet with families in London's Battersea Park. There, she spoke to both parents and peer supporters about the importance of parent-powered support programs. These sorts of initiatives are being used to help parent wellbeing, especially during a time as difficult as the COVID-19 pandemic. At the park, Kate also smiled and played with the small children a few of the parents brought along.
Prior to her park visit, Kate also participated in a Zoom call with experts in the field. On the video chat were representatives from seven different organisations that run peer-to-peer support programs.
'To you and your army of volunteers out there, huge well done,' Kate said. 'I, like you, would love to see it more embedded and celebrated actually, in communities and society as a whole.'
For yesterday afternoon's outing, Kate perfectly combined chic trousers with a casual T-shirt and trainers. The Duchess previously wore these rose-coloured slacks in March, as part of a pink trouser suit from Marks & Spencer. Then, she paired the outfit with high heels for a more formal look.
But today, Kate swapped her blazer and pumps for a more kid-friendly look. The white trainers are some of Kate's favourites, from the brand Superga. She also sported her often-reworn gold charm necklace, featuring the initials of her three children.
Indeed, Kate certainly presented a masterclass in rewears, showing that separates are, well, separate for a reason.
