Duchess of Cambridge dresses appropriately in florals for Chelsea Flower Show appearance

Last night, the Duchess of Cambridge made a subtle appearance at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
The royal, who was joined by other influential figures including the Queen, took a trip around the gardens and spoke to some of this year’s award-winning designers.

Kate aptly chose a floral dress from French label Rochas’ Pre-Fall 2016 collection. This was the first time she had worn anything by the brand.
Her dress featured an emerald and ivory print and reportedly cost £1500. It featured a fitted waist and flared skirt and was paired with matching onyx earrings by Monica Vinader.
Kate kept her footwear simple, choosing £195 nude leather heels from L.K. Bennett. Her hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail, allowing a full view of the Duchesses jewels.

The Duchess revealed that she was “getting into gardening with [Prince George and Princess Charlotte]” but had to be careful that her young children didn’t touch dangerous plants.
She met a number of famous faces on the day including the UK’s favourite baker, Mary Berry, and presenter Chris Evans.

The Radio 2 presenter offered the Duchess a tomato before swiftly dropping it on the floor. But she was still happy to eat it, calling it “delicious.”

The royals weren’t the only ones to attend the show. Joan Collins and British actress Gemma Arterton also made an appearance.
