Dua Lipa's pink butterfly outfit is her most 2000s look yet
Dua Lipa is, without a doubt, a big fan of the Y2K fashion revival. From pleated skirts, halterneck tops and low-rise jeans (AKA Lizzie McGuire's fave wardrobe staples) to very retro waterfall hems, Dua's proven she can make some of the decade's most divisive trends cool in 2021. The same thing can be said for her beauty choices, with the singer recently rockin' high pigtails with a pair of Jenny from the Block-worthy shades. In short, Dua loves a 2000s tribute (to be honest, same), and most recent outfit, is arguably her most noughties get-up yet.
This weekend, Dua stepped out in London wearing a baby pink set that give us major 2002 Paris Hilton vibes. Attending 'An Audience with Adele' at The London Palladium, Dua opted for a mini bralette, complete with wrap-around cut out details, coupled with a floaty knee-length skirt featuring a thigh-high split. When it comes to noughties motifs, you really can't get more on-theme than glittery butterflies so, naturally, Dua's outfit was completely covered in 'em.
The singer finished the look with a thin scarf in the same hue, a tiny top handle bag and a pair of strappy heels, also adorned with, you guessed it, butterflies.
Beauty-wise, the singer wore her hair down with a centre part and selected a soft fuchsia eyeshadow to match her ensemble.
Of course, midriff co-ords sets were one of Paris Hilton's go-to looks back in the day, so, we looked through the archives and found this snap of the heiress rockin' a very similar 'fit back in 2002:
The pink hue. The midriff top. The matching skirt split. Oh, and the strappy heels - this co-ord is peak 2000s glam - an aesthetic Dua's totally vibing right now.
Butterflies feature heavily in Dua's wardrobe lately, with the star previously wearing midriff tops in the shape of, and adorned with, the insect motif.
