'Drunk Audi driver straddled both lanes of A419 at 30mph with hazards on'
POLICE say they were surprised by one recent example of suspicious driving on the A419.
Officers from Wiltshire Police's Roads Policing Unit (RPU) were out and about in Swindon on September 24 when they came across an Audi being driven on the dual carriageway.
The RPU officers described the vehicle as "straddling both lanes of the northbound A419 with its hazard lights on at 30mph" and so swiftly pulled the driver over.

In a post on the Wiltshire Specialist Operations Twitter page, which provides regular updates on the county's roads policing and armed response teams, a spokesperson added: "We weren't surprised to find the driver was drunk.
"He failed to provide a specimen and had two previous convictions for drink driving."
The driver has been reported to court.
