If you've been missing trips to the movies then listen up because a new drive-in cinema experience is launching, from the team behind Pub in the Park as well as celebrity chef Tom Kerridge.
The new 'Drive and Dine' experience will be available at eight different locations across England, with tickets going on sale this Wednesday (10 June).
Whether you've ever been to a drive-in theatre or not, you will definitely have seen them in movies themselves. And it sounds like the perfect, socially distanced way to start adding leisure outings back into your diary.
As you sit safely tucked up in your own car with members of your household, you'll get your own speaker system to use, and food brought straight to your car with socially distanced delivery, payment and ticket scanning all available.
With a mix of family films, classic movies and the latest blockbusters on offer — from The BFG to Grease, and from Jaws to La La Land — screenings will run in the day time and evenings, so there's sure to be something to keep everyone happy.
As well as this, you'll also get to enjoy a top notch dining experience, as celebrity Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge has created the menu!
Menu highlights include a bacon cheeseburger with maple cured bacon, chicken tikka masala and a five bean chilli vegan burrito, as well as picnic boxes suitable for adults or children. And then there are also plenty of sweet treats and deserts available too.
Tom Kerridge said in the press release: “I am so excited to announce a great new event created to have a load of fun in a way that is safely suited to current times. Come and eat some good grub, catch some quality movies, and make some new memories with your loved ones. It’s the perfect trip out of the house!”
