Drake is starting his year as he means to go on, sharing his first Instagram post of 2022 from a beach with friends. In a carousel posted to his grid, Drake can be seen swimming and posing shirtless, with his muscular physique on show. "The reward for hard work is more work… kno dat," the rapper wrote in the caption.

The sentiment didn't go unremarked upon by the rapper's followers, with appreciative comments coming in from music producers Dre London and DJ Khaled, TV host Lilly Singh, and basketball players Deshaun Highler and Michael Purdie. The award for best response, however, comes from singer Kesha Chanté, who joked: "What in the OnlyFans is going on here lmaooo."

Drake has certainly been putting in the aforementioned hard work when it comes to his physique, having shared several Instagram updates from the gym last year. He threw himself into an intense training process while recovering from knee surgery in late 2020, and kept up those workouts throughout 2021.

He showed off his chest and arms on his IG Story after a lifting workout, then went full mirror-selfie to flaunt his conditioning (and multiple trademark tattoos) while doing boxing drills. At one point, he appeared so shredded that you could even see his abs through his sweat-stained shirt.

While Drake is clearly getting after it and presumably intends to continue that way in 2022, funnily enough his music might not be the best soundtrack to your workout. A recent study found that listening to a Drake track while out on a run may actually slow your pace—even if the vibes remain strong.
