Dragons' Den reject 'offered £90million for his booming business'

A businessman who was rejected on Dragons’ Den has claimed that he has now been offered a staggering £90million for his hugely successful health food business.

Marco Hajikypri told business tycoon Peter Jones that he will regret his “foolish decision” after he valued Professional Gains at well below £2million, and it sounds like Marco stayed true to his word.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, the entrepreneur said that he recently turned down a £90million offer, explaining: “It’s not worth that yet, but the potential investor – Coventry multi-millionaire Jojar Singh Dhinsa – has the vision to see what I could be making in a few years time.

“Unlike the Dragons.

“The business is now valued at around £16 million, when the Dragons didn’t even think it was worth £2 million.

“I’ve certainly proved them wrong. I am glad they turned me down now, as I have done very well without their help.

“I didn’t want their money anyway, I just wanted their contacts, but I’ve worked hard to achieve success on my own.

“I have turned down the offer to buy the business, even at that huge figure, because I want to build it up myself. I think it’s going to be worth a billion pounds.

“That’s because of my multi-level marketing system which gives people the opportunity to earn money and eat for free.”

Marco set up his business just two years ago, employing 20 people to help him prepare 7,000 healthy meals that were delivered to his customers’ doors.

He asked the dragons for £125,000 in exchange for 5% of the business, but they didn’t give him anything.

In fact, Marco had an especially heated row with dragon Deborah Meaden, who compared the hopeful to “cotton wool”.

Professional Gains allows customers to order tailor-made, healthy meals with balanced protein, carbs, and fat for an average of £4.90.

There is also an option for customers to sign up to the app, which gives users a £65 bonus every time they introduce a friend to the service.
