Michelle Dockery and Downton Abbey cast glam up for New York premiere

The stars of Downton Abbey were out in force in New York on Monday evening for the US film premiere of Downton Abbey.

The much anticipated new spin-off of the hit TV series, which won three Golden Globe Awards and 15 Primetime Emmy Awards, sees much of the original cast reprise their roles.

Hugh Bonneville, best known for his role as Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham, lead red carpet arrivals at the Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in a striking green three-piece suit.

His on-screen wife, Elizabeth McGovern, also opted for a splash of colour, donning a bright red dress by Antonio Berardi and metallic silver heels.

Laura Carmichael amped up the glamour in an embellished mini dress by Oscar de la Renta, meanwhile, Michelle Dockery, who plays Lady Mary Crawley, went for a chic minimal black Armani gown.
