'Downton Abbey' stars take to red carpet for film sequel premiere

Michelle Dockery, Laura Carmichael and Laura Haddock led the stars of the sophomore Downton Abbey film sequel, A New Era, for the world premiere at Leicester Square's Cineworld on Monday night.

The actresses dazzled for the much-anticipated film premiere, with Dockery in a glitzy silver caped gown and Carmichael in a bow-detail dress with a long sweeping train. Laura Haddock, who joined the cast of Downton for the latest film, looked sensational in a sheer silver sequin gown with feathered detailing and a matching sheer cape.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the sequel to the 2019 film which sees the Crawley family head to the South of France. Downton Abbey: A New Era follows the period drama as the family uncovers a mystery at a villa bestowed to Dowager Countess of Grantham, Violet Crawley, while an ambitious director plans to make a film at Downton.
