I'm going to have to say no...
Kissing scenes are quite common in films. While we might think this is just part of the actors’ job… the truth is not all of them agree on filming those! That’s the case for the following stars who don’t like to kiss people for their projects! Read on and find out who they are…©BANG Showbiz - 2/11
Kirk Cameron
In 2008, actor Kirk Cameron revealed on ‘Today’ that he promised his wife - and ‘Growing Pains’ co-star Chelsea Noble - that he would not kiss any other women. And that includes smooches on screen. He said: "I have a commitment not to kiss any other woman.” This was particularly problematic while filming his movie ‘Fireproof’, as he had to kiss actress Erin Bethea, who played his character’s wife. What the crew did to solve the issue, was to dress his wife as the film’s female lead, and shot the scene from an angle where only a silhouette is shown. Kirk added: “So when I’m kissing my wife, we’re actually husband and wife honoring marriage behind the scenes.”©BANG Showbiz - 3/11
Denzel Washington
Denzel Washington, 68, shared credits with actress Julia Roberts, 55, on the 1993 film ‘The Pelican Brief’. But have you ever noticed that they don’t actually lock lips in the movie? According to Newsweek writer Allison Samuels, Washington had a valid reason for refusing to do a kissing scene. In her book ‘Off the Record: A Reporter Unveils the Celebrity Worlds of Hollywood, Hip-hop, and Sports’, she explains the actor didn’t want to “alienate” fans by playing into Hollywood’s biased beauty standards. According to her, Denzel Washington said: "Black women are not often seen as objects of desire on film. And they have always been my core audience."©BANG Showbiz - 4/11
Leona Lewis
In 2009, singer Leona Lewis, 37, told The Daily Mail that she was supposed to kiss actor Chace Crawford on one of her music videos, but she refused to do so. She said: "They wanted me and Chace to kiss in the 'I Will Be' video. But I said, 'No way.' He's so beautiful, I mean, look at him — he could be a girl! He'd be a really pretty girl. But I just don't think of him like that. And it wouldn't be fair to Lou to kiss other guys." At the time of the interview, Lewis was dating music industry professional Lou Al-Chamaa.©BANG Showbiz - 5/11
Will Smith
Will Smith, 54, starred in the 1993 film ‘Six Degrees of Separation’, where he refused to kiss co-star Anthony Michael Hall. Instead, Will asked the crew to film the scene from behind, meaning he was able to fake the kiss. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Smith admitted to regretting his decision. He said: "I wasn't emotionally stable enough to artistically commit to that aspect of the film. In a movie with actors and a director and writer of this calibre, for me to be the one bringing something cheesy to it ... this was a valuable lesson for me. Either you do it, or you don't."©BANG Showbiz - 6/11
Candace Cameron Bure
‘Fuller House’ star Candace Cameron Bure, 46, told Us Weekly that she is not a fan of shooting kissing scenes. Candace's husband Valeri Bure would rather she didn't smooch other guys at work. Talking about her 'Fuller House' character D.J. Tanner-Fuller, who gets involved in a love triangle, she said: "I'll be honest, I'm like, I'm kind of over it in the sense that I don't like that I keep kissing two different men! I'd like to stick with one guy. Sometimes I'm doing my Hallmark movies and we've got a new guy in each movie. I'm getting more uncomfortable with it the older I'm getting. I'm like, 'I don't want to keep doing this!'" Candace also revealed that her husband “actually doesn't watch anything that I do for that very reason. Because it's uncomfortable and I totally understand and respect it".©BANG Showbiz - 7/11
Isla Fisher
Isla Fisher, 47, shared credits with actor Johnny Depp, 59, on the animated film ‘Rango’, where they voiced characters Beans and Rango, respectively. The film’s director Gore Verbinski, asked them to act some of the scenes in real life, so they could achieve the desired tone of their lines. However, when a kissing scene was next, Isla refused to kiss Johnny. Isla - who is married to Sacha Baron Cohen - said: “Although we were only voicing the characters, we were encouraged to act out scenes. "It came to the scene where my character kisses Johnny‘s but I ducked out as I had a really bad cold and didn’t want him to catch it. Afterwards I was like, ‘What was I thinking? It’s Johnny Depp’. Maybe I should have just got the kiss and given him the germs!"©BANG Showbiz - 8/11
Janet Jackson
In the 1993 film ‘Poetic Justice’, singer Janet Jackson, 56, shares screen with late rapper Tupac Shakur (1971-1996). While Janet and the ‘California Love’ singer share a kiss on screen, she initially refused to do so and would only go ahead with it on one particular condition: he had to get tested for AIDS. Q-Tip, who also stars in the film, and who also kisses Janet in it, told Revolt how things were. He said: "I don't know what that decision was on her part to be like, 'He has to get a AIDS test.' But she was definitely, 'Well, if I'm going to kiss with him, he definitely has to.'"©BANG Showbiz - 9/11
Neal McDonough
Neal McDonough, 57, who played Edie's husband Dave Williams on ‘Desperate Housewives’, refuses to film any kind of love scene, whether it’s a kissing or more. In an interview with Christian Examiner, the TV star said that he does not like his kids to question the relationship he has with his wife Ruvé. He said: "Life is about honoring God and being the best human being you can be and giving praise to God in everything you do. Killing people on screen - that's fake. That's not real. When you're in bed with another woman on screen - guess what? That's real. I don't like that kind of stuff. Especially now with kids, I don't want to have my kids say, 'Hey, Dad, what are you doing with that lady on screen?'"©BANG Showbiz - 10/11
Charlie Hunnam
Charlie Hunnam, 42, was originally cast for the role of Christian Grey in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, opposite Dakota Johnson. However, he eventually quit the project due to scheduling conflicts, with Jamie Dornan taking over the main role. Apparently, the decision was not as bad for Charlie as we might think. Had he continued, he would have had to film multiple love scenes with Dakota, which is something he doesn’t like to do. In a 2017 interview with ELLE, the actor was asked what his opinion on filming intimate scenes was. To which he replied: “I try to be sensitive to the fact that we're doing something intimate, but also keep a clear boundary. Because I'm in a very committed relationship, and I'm also cognizant that it's not my girlfriend's favorite part of my job. It's a delicate balance to strike - to be emotionally open enough to have an experience that feels honest between two people but also maintain that it's just for the film. It's not my favorite thing to do. I'm also a germophobe. I've been profoundly germophobic since I was a young child. I don't want to kiss anyone but my girlfriend for my whole life.”©BANG Showbiz - 11/11
Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt’s case is a bit different, as it did not happen on set, but involved the filming process of a project. Speaking at the London premiere of ‘Salt’ in 2010, Brad’s then-partner Angelina Jolie, revealed that Brad refused to kiss her when she was dressed as a man for her role as CIA operative Evelyn Salt in the spy flick. She said: "He totally freaked out... Brad couldn't even kiss me!"©BANG Showbiz
