What you don't know about me: Daisy Edgar-Jones

From Harper's BAZAAR

The last six months have seen Daisy Edgar-Jones become an international star, thanks to her role in the critically-acclaimed Normal People. Famed for her acting prowess, on-screen style and that enviable fringe, the British actress is now firmly on the radars of every casting director worth their salt, and appears on the cover of our September issue.

Such a sudden rise to fame, especially during lockdown, means there is still a lot to discover about the 22-year-old Londoner. We know her backstory, that she was born in Islington to a Northern Irish mother and a Scottish father, both of whom worked in the media. We know that, aged 14, she secured a place at the National Youth Theatre, where Helen Mirren, Daniel Day-Lewis and Rosamund Pike once attended. We know that she made her television debut when she was 17 in the remake of Cold Feet.

What we're less clear on are personal details - who was her first crush? What's her guilty pleasure? How has Normal People changed her life? What's her signature dance move? What is the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for her? How does she define love? What makes her angry? We talk to the actress to find out and also to see her "incredibly loud", unexpected party trick in action.
