President Trump has a number of businesses. But his modelling agency, Trump Models, may be about to flounder.

The Washington Post has learnt that several senior members of the New York-based agency have left to start their own businesses.

Former manager, Gabriel Ruas Santos-Rocha, has taken many Trump Models with him to his new agency, Anti Management. The company made a powerful debut on Instagram with a photo depicting women’s empowerment.

the time is now. #weareANTI

Whether this was a dig at Trump is yet to be confirmed but Santos-Rocha denied that he had “the intent of taking someone out of business. I want my models to be nurtured and treated fairly and that their talents are utilised as part of their career.”

Six months ago, one of the agency’s top bookers, Patty Sicular, left to start Iconic Focus, taking several members of Trump Models’ ‘legends’ division with her. The section once boasted several well-known older models including Beverly Johnson and Jerry Hall.

Before the presidential election in November, veteran Trump model Maggie Rizer announced she had no choice but to leave the agency in a heartfelt Instagram post.

“As a woman, a mother, an American and a human being, I cannot wake up Wednesday morning being the least bit related to the Trump brand. I owe it to myself and to my children to proudly stand up for what I believe in and that is a world where Donald Trump has no voice for the future of our country,'” she wrote.

Several other models are also known to have left the agency when Trump’s political actions began gaining controversy. In fact, many of the models still listed on the agency’s site have jumped ship.

Fashion industry members attempted a boycott of the agency but this supposedly didn’t work as a few Trump models walked for high-profile shows in February’s New York Fashion Week.

Is the agency dying a slow death? We can only wait and see.
