Donald Trump accidentally sent out a Tweet celebrating a former Labour party employee from Brighton, Ivanka Majic, instead of his daughter, Ivanka Trump.

On Monday night, the President-elect sent a message out to his 20.1 million followers, in which he accidentally tagged @Ivanka (his daughter's Twitter handle is @IvankaTrump). He was quoting user Lawrence Goodstein (otherwise known as @drgoodspine) in his Tweet.

According to The Independent, Ivanka Majic is a researcher at Brighton and Hove City Council and the Labour Party's former acting director of digital, with just over 3,500 Twitter followers. Ivanka Trump, in comparison, has 2.74 million followers on the social media platform.

The tweet was in response to a CNN special programme on the President-elect's daughter, which Trump had criticised earlier in the evening.

The mistaken Tweet has yet to be deleted from Trump's account, and has been shared more than 4.8k times and received 25k likes.
