Since Donald Trump contracted coronavirus, the president has been on a mission to turn his ill-time sickness (he is on the campaign trail for the US election in November), into a positive. Just recently he told the public not to 'be afraid of COVID' - a disease that has killed over 210,000 people to date.
Now he's come forward with a statement suggesting that it was in fact God who gave him coronavirus. And he called it a 'blessing'. The president has spent the last four days at the Walter Reed Medical Centre after testing positive for COVID-19 and was given the antibody treatment - not a vaccine - on Friday.
The treatment, which was manufactured by Regeneron, is experimental and so still in the testing stages. Nonetheless, Trump claimed the new drug was a 'cure.'
Addressing the nation via a video on Twitter, Trump sang its praises. "I know they call it therapeutic but to me it wasn't therapeutic it just made me better. I call that a cure," he said.
"For me, I walked in, I didn’t feel good, a short 24 hours later I was feeling great, I wanted to get out of the hospital."
"And that’s what I want for everybody. I want everybody to be given the same treatment as your president because I feel great, I feel like perfect. So I think this was a blessing from God that I caught it. This was a blessing in disguise."

One good thing to come from all this is Trump's decision to make the antibody treatment free. "I want to get for you what I got – and I’m going to make it free. You’re not going to pay for it," he continued.
"I spent four days there and when I went in I wasn't feeling so hot... They gave me Regeneron and it was unbelievable, I felt good immediately."
He went on to say that approval for this drug was 'much more important than the vaccine.'
"I have emergency use authorisation all set and we’ve got to get it signed now – and you’re gonna get better, you’re gonna get better really fast."
Make of it what you will, folks.
