Dolce & Gabbana's luxe Sicilian villa is being sold for £5.8M: Here's what it looks like

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are selling their luxury Sicilian villa - and it could be yours if you have a few million to spare.

The 500 square metre property, located on Stromboli Island in Sicily, is being sold for £5.8 million.

Italian estate agents Lionard have been entrusted exclusively with the sale.

Surrounded by terraces and 300 square metres of lawn, it offers a view of the island setting including the nearby Iddu volcano, which has been active since the 1930s.

It has been furnished with unique furniture pieces, Dolce & Gabbana fabrics and local handicrafts including hand-painted majolica and lace curtains – although it is unclear whether these pieces will be up for grabs with the sale.

Domenico and Stefano were a non-monogamous couple from 1982 to 2005, when they ended their romantic relationship.

However, they have continued to work together since this time.

The super-rich will be glad to hear the island is host to its very own Stromboli Ginostra Helipad.

Dolce & Gabbana have summered at the property since the 90s, hosting the likes of supermodel Naomi Campbell and throwing lavish A-list parties.

While it is not entirely sure why the designer pair are selling the home, it is known a volcanic eruption – the largest ever recorded in the location – took place there earlier this month.

If you were worried that Domenico and Stefano would be left high and dry by the sale, don’t be – Stefano recently bought a £15 million house in North London’s Primrose Hill, according to Homes and Property.

Among their properties, the pair also own a villa in Portofino, Italy, and another home in Monte Carlo.

They once shared a house together in Milan, Italy, where the Dolce & Gabbana headquarters are based, but moved into separate apartments in the capital following their 2005 split.
