Ant will definitely be returning to present. HOORAY.

After Ant McPartlin checked into rehab in a bid to battle his alcohol and prescription drug addiction, there was loads of will he/won't he rumours surrounding whether he'd return to present I'm A Celeb for 2017.

At one point sources reported Holly Willoughby could take over the six week presenting gig, and although she would've no doubt been awesome at it, Ant has since confirmed to The Sun that he'll be reprising his role in the jungle. HOORAY.

I’m excited to be back", he said on November 13. "I can’t wait. It’s going to be a good show. I’m feeling great."

Dec added, "It’s brilliant to be back together – it’s perfect. Everything slots back into place. We can’t wait and we are raring to go."

ITV boss Kevin Lygo also confirmed Ant would be back way back in August, telling the Edinburgh International TV Festival crowds that "Ant is doing really well and we are expecting him to return for I'm a Celebrity."

When does I'm A Celeb 2017 start?

This weekend (5 November), ITV confirmed I'm A Celebrity 2017 will officially kick off on Sunday November 19, a week later than last years' series, which began on Sunday 13 November and lasted until the final on Sunday 4 December.

The delay might be due to a promotional shoot that was due to take place at the beginning of October being postponed until Ant McPartlin felt ready to resume his presenting duties, opposite Declan Donnelly, following his stint in rehab.

"It would have been the first day filming but with Ant away, there is no way they could get started", a source at the The Sun commented on 2nd October. "Ant has gone to Los Angeles to get away from the spotlight. He’s in recovery and it’s important that he has the time and space he needs.

"Paul, his agent but also one of his closest friends, has gone with him to help look after him and provide support."
