Disney+ Skeleton Crew fans told to look out for hidden character after 'scene stealing' appearance
Fans have been told of a possible hidden character played by Nick Frost in the new Star Wars series after a 'scene stealing' appearance.
The first two episodes of new live-action series Skeleton Crew are now available to stream on Disney+. Fans and critics have already been praising the new show, with the Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead star attracting particular attention.
In the show, Frost voices the droid SM-33, who the group of lost children come across in a long abandoned space ship. He becomes a new ally on their unexpected adventure to try and find their way home.
Frost's appearance has already been labelled as 'scene stealing' and many are hoping to see much more of him in the remaining six episodes. Some have also pointed out the reference to his character's name.
The droid is focused on reporting to his captain, and talks like an old-fashioned pirate. Fans have recognised that his name SM-33, spells out Smee, a reference to Mr Smee, the boatswain of Captain Hook in the Peter Pan story.

One fan said: "SM-33 the coolest guy ever? My guy can throw hands," while another added on social media: "Nick Frost is awesome 'SM-33' I see what you did there."
A third viewer declared: "I like the focus on the Galaxy's pirate culture. Nick Frost's SM-33 is the scene-stealer so far, and there's an intriguing central mystery."
Writer and director Jon Favreau who worked on The Mandalorian, also helped with the production of Skeleton Crew. In fact he teased that Frost could appear in the show as more than one character.
In another interview, Frost admitted: "I got a message from Jon Favreau to say just ‘because you’re a robot doesn’t mean that you can’t appear somewhere as yourself.'"
As a result, fans are now eagerly scanning each scene from the background to the foreground for a live-action appearance by Frost. The actor has already hinted at his eagerness to appear in more projects, whether to reprise his current role or taking on another.
When asked if he would like to cameo in one of the other Star Wars series set during the same timeframe as Skeleton Crew, he told Shortlist: "Yeah, absolutely, of course I would. He's a really fun character to be. Even SM-34, and 35, I can voice those too.
"I'd like to be there in person. I'd even wear a helmet, and could do my own weird voice acting. I'd like to see more of him."
