The Verge reports that Discord will be moving away from its traditional four-digit tag identifier system in an attempt to make it "easier to connect" with users. Instead of the four-digit identifier, users will now have a unique alphanumeric username with an "@" symbol in front of it. Unfortunately, the change means that most users will have to update their usernames.
